Medicare rebates make psychological support more accessible and affordable for eligible Australians. You could receive up to:
- $96.65 per session for a registered psychologist
- $141.85 per session for a clinical psychologist
Book an appointment with your GP
Book an extended appointment with your GP to get a Mental Health Plan and a referral letter
Pay for your Psychologist’s Session
You will be charged the private fee after your session. Part of this session fee can be rebated through a Medicare self-claim.
Receive an Invoice
Your psychologist will provide an invoice with session details and their AHPRA registration number, required for Medicare claims.
Submit Your Claim
Log in to MyGov, link your Medicare service, and upload the invoice. Medicare will process the claim and deposit the rebate into your account.

No, you can browse psychologists and view their profiles without creating an account. However, you’ll need to sign up if you want to book a session, contact your psychologist, or manage your appointments.
Yes. Your initial session is paid securely through the platform—no need to worry about cash or bank transfers. Psychologists set up a Stripe account in their profile to receive payments. Once your booking is confirmed, you can manage appointments and communicate directly with your psychologist.
Future payments for any subsequent sessions will be arranged with your psychologist, rather than processed through the platform.
MEDICARE REBATES:
If you have a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP, you may be eligible to claim a rebate for part of the session cost.

Yes. It’s completely free to create an account, browse psychologists, and read profiles—you only pay when you book a session. There are no subscription fees or hidden costs for clients.
It’s also free for psychologists to join and be listed on the platform. A 7% processing fee is applied to the initial session (deducted from the standard session fee), but we recommend that future payments be arranged directly between the psychologist and client to avoid this for subsequent sessions.
